岩手の地震で倒壊が少なかったわけの話

ニュースの記事の引用ですが、

「古い家は自分たちで山の木を切り出して建てたものが多い。都市部で建てる普通の家の３～４倍の太さの柱やはりを使っている」と、洋野町種市の測量設計事務所社長、酒井義隆社長（５１）。別の建築士は「古い大工は柱と土台、金属の留め具を使わずに柱と梁（はり）を組む。異物を使わない分、揺れを吸収しやすいのではないか」と分析した。

とありました。

柱は太い方が筋交もいらない場合になり、また、本来の軸組であれば、大工の技量にもよりますが、揺れを吸収し、壊れない、倒れない となるのです。

耐震ばかりが求められていますが、「吸震」というのもあるのかもしれません。

いわゆる免震かもしてませんが・・・・・・・・・

今回の地震、なによりも倒壊がなかったのがすばらしいです。と言っても、Ｐ波がなかったというのもあるみたいですが・・・・・・

昨今、日本家屋に関わっているので、非常に、この結果には関心しております。

すばらしき先人の知恵。

私たちはテクノロジーとかいって、温故知新を忘れているように感じてます。

屋根においても、風切丸もそうですが、瓦屋根は重いから駄目とありますが、そんなことはなく、正しく、また、能力のある大工・職人によって、地震・台風に耐えうるすばらしい家ができるのです。
